Hosting

Blue host isn’t your only option when it comes to web hosting, but it is a popular one. If you plan to monetize your blog, you’ll need web hosting. Bluehost is relatively easy to use, syncs right up with WordPress, and has 24/7 support in place to assist you.

Overall, my experience with Bluehost has been really good. I have no issues to report.

Sign up for Bluehost using my link, you get your domain name free of charge for one year, a free SSL certificate and web hosting for as little as $3.95 per month, and a 30-day money-back guarantee if you’re unsatisfied.

Affiliate Networks

Ultimate Bundles isn’t just a great resource for learning about just about everything! They’re also a wonderful affiliate program for new and experience bloggers alike. Signing up is simple, commission rates are competitive, and there are no minimum traffic requirements to qualify. If you’re a content creator, you can apply to have your course featured in a bundle, and make even higher commissions. Sign up here to become an Ultimate Bundles affiliate.

Finding and researching affiliate programs can be frustrating and time consuming. This awesome resource takes the leg work out of affiliate marketing for beginners. Find all the info you need about affiliates for 19 different niches. This one’s great if you want to get started in affiliate marketing but feel totally lost or overwhelmed.

By far one of the easiest to use. Add affiliate links to your blog for any Amazon product or service. When readers make a purchase, you earn a commission. You’ll need 3 qualifying sales within 180 days, or you’ll be removed from the program, but you can always reapply.

This one’s great for newbies because you don’t have to apply and qualify for a bunch of separate affiliates. Skimlinks converts the links on your blog into affiliate links. You can even use it in combination with other affiliate links, so you don’t have to worry about Skimlinks overriding your other affiliate programs. You’ll get a lower payout but save time, effort, and frustration.

Email Service

I tried several email services, and they all ended in frustration. I couldn’t figure out how to insert my sign up pages. My blog wouldn’t link up correctly. Eventually, I’d just give up on building a list altogether.

Convertkit solved that! It’s so much simpler to use. I quickly created all the sign up’s I’d failed to complete. When my trial expired, my heart broke.

Imagine my joy when I learned that Convertkit released a free version. I switched back immediately!

Try out Convertkit through my link, and unlock up to 1,000 subscribers for free.

Advertising

If you hope to monetize your blog, setting up ads can be a good place to start. The highest paying ad sites have huge page view requirements, but you still have some options if you’re new or a smaller blog.

New bloggers can qualify for Media.net easily. While they don’t have a specific set of expectations, if your page has a few quality posts, a privacy policy, and a disclosure/disclaimer page, you’ll most likely get accepted. They pay is low, but so is the cash out threshold.

Did you know that the Amazon affiliate program let’s you build and post Amazon product ads to your blog? If you sign up, this can be a simple way to include relevant product ads to your pages.
